About The Event

We’ve all been there—tucked away in a drawer or the back of a closet, there's usually an old prescription or some expired meds you forgot existed. While it’s tempting to just toss them in the trash or flush them, doing so can be a safety hazard for your family and the environment.

Why participate?

  • Keep your home safe: Prevent accidental ingestion or misuse, especially from kids.

  • Protect the planet: Keep chemicals out of our water supply.

  • It’s easy: Disposal is completely safe, free, and anonymous.

The Franklin County Prevention Coalition is proud to partner with the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office for this special medication disposal event.
