Are you passionate about giving back? We have incredible volunteer opportunities that let you directly impact your community! Our programs are primarily focused on supporting families and bolstering drug and substance prevention efforts right here in Franklin County. If you're looking to be part of meaningful change, this volunteer program is perfect for you.

About Us

The Franklin County Prevention Coalition is committed to promoting the health and well-being of our community by preventing substance misuse, supporting families, and empowering youth. We work with schools, local agencies, and caring individuals to create a safer, stronger Franklin County.

As a volunteer, you will be part of a passionate team dedicated to prevention, education, and community wellness. You’ll have the chance to support projects that make a real difference in the lives of families and children across the county. Volunteers will receive orientation and guidance from Coalition staff, and ongoing support based on interests and involvement level.​

Position Title:

Time Commitment:

Prevention Coalition Volunteer

(Optional Focus Area: Children & Youth Engagement)

Flexible - based on your availability

(Evenings, part-time, or weekends)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with organizing and supporting prevention events, workshops, and awareness campaigns

  • Help with social media, flyer distribution, or community outreach

  • Support administrative tasks such as data entry or making calls

  • (Optional) Engage in youth-focused programming, such as after-school activities, mentoring, or educational sessions

  • Represent the Coalition at community fairs, school events, or local meetings

Preferred Qualities:

  • Passion for helping others and building a healthier community

  • Interest in prevention, family advocacy, or youth development

  • Strong communication and people skills

  • Dependable, respectful, and team-oriented

  • Willingness to learn and grow
