Our lake is one of Franklin County’s greatest assets — bringing families, friends, and visitors together to enjoy the outdoors. As boating traffic increases, safety on the water becomes more important than ever.

To help promote safe boating practices, we will be hosting FREE Vessel Safety Checks at the Bass Club May 22nd from 12 pm - 2 pm. These inspections are quick, educational, and designed to help boaters ensure they have the proper safety equipment and are prepared for a safe day on the lake.

Boaters will also have the opportunity to learn more about boating safety laws, including the dangers and legal consequences of operating a vessel under the influence of alcohol. Drinking and boating can impair judgment, slow reaction times, and put everyone on the water at risk.
